Heaven Made Foods of Holt Limited has been born out of Prospero Ltd. With over 15 years of manufacturing heritage and tradition the company has been under new ownership since August 2006. Within 3 kitchens our 25 chefs hand-make over 30 different branded and private label frozen desserts, ice creams and sorbets for the UK retail and foodservice markets. We specialise in ‘thaw and serve’ fruit and dairy desserts, both individual and large sizes for sharing. Every dessert is made in small batches and crafted with care using quality ingredients and no artificial additives or hydrogenated vegetable oils. We are situated just outside of the small Georgian market town of Holt in North Norfolk, 25 miles North West of Norwich.
Fruit Puddings
Whole fruits and fruit purees encased in fruit juice soaked bread. We have a growing range of what are classically termed ‘summer puddings’ including raspberry and blackberry, apple and plum and strawberry with balsamic vinegar. As all of our fruit puddings are hand-made, the fruit remains whole and plump keeping the full flavour of the fruit intact.
Topped Cheesecakes
Delicious cold set cheesecakes made with cream cheese, fromage frais and single cream, mixed together and then set on a uniquely crumbly biscuit base then topped with fruits, chocolate or a sugar brulee. Our range of cheesecakes includes Chocolate and Ginger, Lemon Curd, Raspberry Brulee and Toffee Pecan.
Dairy Mousses
We combine skimmed milk and double cream into a velvety mousse then add ingredients such as milk chocolate, white chocolate, lemon or strawberry to create some delicious textures and flavours. We can decorate the desserts with a ganache or fruit glaze and add a finishing touch of a rolled chocolate panatella or glazed peel creating some wonderfully decadent desserts.
Ice Cream Desserts and Sorbets
Using our traditional ice cream and sorbet making skills we can combine a variety of flavoured ice creams or sorbets with dessert elements (for example meringue) to make a sharing dessert that can be eaten straight from the freezer. Our range of ice creams and sorbets can also be purchased separately.
Jellies and Terrines
Adult dessert jellies in a terrine style are a small but important part of our business. Some of our recipes include ‘Raspberry and Red Wine’ and ‘Elderflower and Raspberry’. A surprisingly refreshing and light dessert.
We are predominantly a private label supplier but we do have a brand for our products, ‘Prospero’. The brand maintains the high level of quality recipe as our private label desserts and enables us to supply customers who are not looking to develop a private label offer.
